Sentai FIlmworks announced today that they have acquired the Persona 4 anime. The series will be distributed soon through "many outlets" and will be released on DVD and Blu-ray in 2012.
Based on the original PS2 game released in 2008, Persona 4 follows a player-named protagonist who attends a high-school after moving into the country from the city for a year. During the year, he investigates a variety of murders while using the power of summoning the Persona.
The series will be premiering on MBS in Japan starting October 6.
