Basically the story revolves around a boy named Natsume. He has a special ability to see ghosts! Therefore, making him a weirdo around humans and ghosts are not fond of him either. One day he inherited a special book from his grandma titled, "Book of Friends" and this book is like no other book. It contains contracts between his grandma and many ghosts that's been trapped because of it. Natsume endeavours to help free those ghosts from the bonded contracts - many came to seek him for freedom, some came for vengeance!
