Nana Mizuki to Provide Theme Song for Blood-C Movie

Popular seiyuu-singer Nana Mizuki will provide the theme song to the anime movie Blood-C: The Last Dark.

This will be her 2nd musical work involving in the anime, with the previous one being her 25th single "Junketsu Paradox", which is being used as the ending theme to the Blood-C TV series. However, any CD release of the new theme song is still not known at the moment.

Like with the TV series, Nana Mizuki will also again return to voice Saya Kisaragi in the movie. The movie will premiere in Japan on 2nd June.

Japanese singer Maiko Fujita will be releasing her new single ねぇ(Nee) on April 18th. You can listen to a preview of it in the Hiiro No Kakera anime trailer.

Maiko Fujita was born on January 16, 1984 in Nagoya, Japan and made her musical debut with her single Koi ni Ochite in 2006. Since then, she has released six singles, four studio albums, one mini-album and a compilation album.

Meanwhile, Hiiro no Kakera is a otome video game set to air its anime adaption in April of this year. The story centers around a teenage girl named Tamaki Kasuga who moves to a mountain village where her grandmother resides. While there she encounters terrible creatures, but is saved by a boy named Takuma Onizaki.

Rorouni Kenshin Official Movie Poster and New Promo Trailer

The official poster for the upcoming live action adaptation of Rorouni Kenshin or Samurai X is out. Aside from the official poster, a new promo trailer was shown in NTV's show ZIP!

The movie will be released on Aug 25th with Sato Takeru playing the role of Kenshin Himura. Other casts includes: Takei Emi ,Aoki Munetaka, Taketo Tanaka, Aoi Yuu, Eguchi Yosuke, Kikkawa Kouji, and Kagawa Teruyuki.

Yu Yamada and Oguri Shun have announced that they are getting married. The marriage will be registered on March 14th.

The two released a statement to the media together. The two told the media that they will register their marriage on March 14, thanked everyone for their support and stated that they would like to build a family together.

Ikimonogakari's NEWTRAL Tops Oricon Album Charts 2 Weeks in a Row

Popular trio pop/rock band Ikimonogakari's 5th album "NEWTRAL" continues to sell very well on its 2nd week of sales, claiming the number 1 spot on the Oricon weekly charts once again, selling 83,000 copies. Together with their 1st week sales, this totals up to 276,000 copies.

With just 83,000 copies sold, they already outsold the 1st week sales of other popular artists' work like Jin Akanishi's "JAPONICANA" and SCANDAL's compilation album "SCANDAL SHOW".

However, this is nothing new to Ikimonogakari. Their 4th album "Hajimari no Uta" and their compilation album "Ikimonobakari ~Members Best Selection~" managed to top the Oricon weekly album charts 2 weeks in a row as well.

That's not all! The success of this album further raised the sales of their compilation album "Ikimonobakari ~Members Best Selection~", which is released way back in November 2010. Though it's still charting well last week at #51, it managed to rise to #38 this week, bringing the total sales to 1,338,000 copies and back in the Oricon's weekly top 50. With this, the album has charted for 71 weeks, and won't be dropping off anytime soon.

Nogizaka46 Announces 2nd Single

AKB48's official rival Nogizaka46 have announced their 2nd single, scheduled to be released on the 2nd May. This is the same release date as AKB48 Sashihara Rino's debut single "Soredemo Sukidayo", and 1 week before NMB48's 4th single.

As with their debut single, it'll be released in 4 editions: Limited Edition Type A, B, C and Regular Edition. The title and track-list of the single is still not known at the moment.

Nogizaka46's debut single "Guruguru Curtain" peaked at #2 on the Oricon charts, selling 133,000 copies in its first week, and have sold over 160,000 copies till date. Do you think they can do better and get #1 on the Oricon weekly charts with the next single?

Chef Tatsuya Kawagoe Debuts as Artist

Popular chef Tatsuya Kawagoe has announced the release of his single "O America no Ohanashi/Curry Rice Gakkou" which will be released as on his debut CD on April 25th.

Tokui Yoshimi who is in charge of the tutorials is writing the lyrics. Kawagoe wants children to not dislike or like food but just be able to eat some delicious meals. Intertwined within the two songs are feelings of food through dreams.

　
Besides opening his official artist site and twitter account (@chef_kawagoe) today (13th), there will be a photo session and meeting with Kawagoe for the release of his CD. With his sweet CD meaning both meanings, it will sure attract lots of people including the women.

SDN48's Final Single Reaches New Heights on Oricon Weekly Charts

All 39 members of idol group SDN48 will disband and graduate by the end of this month. They have just released their 5th and final single "Makeoshimi Congratulation" on 7th Mar. Good news came in when it's revealed that they finally broke their own records on the Oricon charts with this final single.

So far all their previous 4 singles only managed to peak at #3 on the Oricon weekly charts, with their 3rd single "MIN・MIN・MIN" having the highest first week sales of 72,584 copies. However, Makeoshimi Congratulation managed to peak at #2 on the Oricon weekly charts. With 74,459 copies sold, it also sets a new record as their highest first week sales.

Before disbanding, the group is set to release 2 albums on the 14th and 28th Mar respectively. They will also release a Studio Recording CD and DVD on 28th Mar covering their Yuuwaku no Garter stage performances.

Fans do help SDN48 in achieving more amazing records before they graduate!

New Single for Byakura

Visual Kei band Byakura announced a new release! It’s titled “Gentou” and is the band’s 5th single.

The release date is set for June 6th but you can also buy it on May 29th at their live at Shinjuku RUIDO K4.

Byakura is a Visual Kei band formed in 2002. The band consists of a female vocalist, a female bassist and a male drummer. Their songs are dark and heavy and their style is really interesting: Byakura mixes Visual Kei with traditional Japanese styles.

YUKI to Sing New Opening for 'Sakamichi no Apollo'

A new song from YUKI, titled Sakamichi no Melody, has been chosen as the opening theme for the upcoming anime, "Sakamichi no Apollo".

Composed and arranged by the famous Yoko Kanno and written by YUKI herself, the song will be released as a double A-side single titled, "Play Ball / Sakamichi no Melody" on May 2nd.

The new anime will be broadcasted on noitaminA beginning April 12th.

SKE48 Releases New Album

Popular idol group SKE48's Team KII will release their 3rd album"Ramune no Nomihoudai" which includes songs from their performance last October tomorrow the 14th.

This album came from having the leader of the SKE48 KII team plead with producers to let them have their own album and because of that they were allowed to release this third album. Team KII has been waiting so long for this opportunity that the songs all are incorporated with the dreams and feelings of the members. All 16 members of team KII are awaiting your response to their new album.

The album includes a total of 17 songs and includes the #2 song from their event "SKE48 Request Hour Set List Best 50 2011 ~Fan Sorezoreno Kamikyokutachi~". Their album also includes the song "Winning Hall" which will be used as the 2012 CBC Baseball Relay theme song.

Yesterday, rock group SuG opened their own YouTube channel and today they uploaded their first video.

SuG’s YouTube channel is named 39official. No music videos yet, but a video digest of their upcoming live DVD “VIP POP SHOW” has been uploaded.

Kii Katano will release a 7 track mini album titled "Can you hear me?" on March 14th.

Namie Amuro Announces Anniversary Concert and "Go Round" PV

Namie Amuro announced on her official site that she'll be having a one night concert in Okinawa on Sept 16th. The said concert is to celebrate her 20th anniversary since she debuted. The concert will take place at Ginowan Kaihin Koen’ｓ specially built outdoor stage.

Aside from Namie Amuro's upcoming anniversary concert, Avex also revealed "Go Round" PV. "Go Round" will be released on Mar 21st.

Aoi Opens Facebook Account and Returns to Twitter

In August last year the GazettE’s Aoi deleted his twitter account due to harsh messages and the time you have to spend to run an account.
Now he is back on twitter and opened a facebook page as well!

Because many fans believed that those accounts are fake Aoi tweeted something special to prove that it’s really him: “Tomorrow's first song will be “Sentimental me, Aoi”.” Maybe he’s referring to their song “Sentimental na Onigokko”?
It’s quite unlikely that the account is fake because even the Gazette’s staff itself tweeted about Aoi's return. But let’s see which song will be tomorrow’s first song!

Tomorrow, on March 10th, the GazettE will celebrate their 10th anniversary with a live titled “THE DECADE”. It will be hold at Makuhari Messe.

ORANGE RANGE Announces New Album "NEO POP STANDARD"

ORANGE RANGE will be releasing their 8th studio album on April 18th. The album is titled "NEO POP STANDARD".

The band will be going in a new direction with their album in celebration of their 10th anniversary. "NEO POP STANDARD" will be a 13 track electro album, including their single "Hello Sunshine Hello Future" which is available as a free download.

The limited edition version of the album will include a bonus DVD filled with music videos for the album as well as footage from "ORANGE RANGE Urgent Press Conference".

Ex-xTRiPx-Members‘ New Band

In December 2011 Guitarist Shogo, Bassist Chobi (both ex-xTRiPx) and Satoshi (ex-LANDZ) held their first live as session band “kikakumono”. After a mysterious countdown on the homepage they revealed yesterday that kikakumono isn’t a session band anymore and they also changed the band’s name to “DIV”.
In contrast to their session band DIV has a constant vocal. His name is Chisa and he was the singer of NEXX, a band that just disbanded on March 4th.

DIV will officially start activities on April 13th at SHINJUKU LOFT but they already announced their first mini album for April 25th! It’s titled “mudai no document” and comes in two versions: Type A contains 6 songs and a PV, Type B contains 7 songs.

There aren't any samples of songs available yet but you can check out DIV's homepage for more information such as blogs and twitter accounts.

SPEED's Takako Uehara and ET-KING's TENN Engaged

SPEED member Takako Uehara and ET-KING member TENN have announced that they are engaged.

According to Daily Sports online, the two met each other at a live event last spring and began dating soon after.

"While spending time together, I was drawn by her kindness and straightforwardness," TENN stated on his official blog.

The couple are planning to have their wedding in July.

Takako is the 2nd member of SPEED to get married. Eriko Imai was the first, marrying 175R vocalists SHOGO in 2004, though the two got a divorce in 2007.

Hey!Say!JUMP Consecutively Tops Singles Charts

Hey! Say! JUMP's 9th single "SUPER DELICATE" which was released on the 22nd has sold 249,000 copies in the first week and topped the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart for the week of March 5th. The streak first started with their debut single "Ultra Music Power" and has continued up to their newest single. Their last number 1 single "Magic Power" sold 218,000 copies which means that their newest single broke their previous sales record.

"SUPER DELICATE" is right now being used for the Nippon TV drama Risou no Musuko who Yamada Ryosuke a member of Hey! Say! JUMP is starring in. The lyricist who created the big hit "Lion Heart" for SMAP , Shinji Nojima, will be helping out the drama with his musical talents.

AKB48, Nakai Masahiro, Esumi Makiko to MC New TBS Music Show

TBS has announced that it will launch a new prime time music show in April with SMAP’s Nakai Masahiro, actress Esumi Makiko, and girl group AKB48 as MCs.

The show is currently untitled, but it is said to be similar to the network’s last prime time music show, “The Music Hour”. The new show is described as a music variety show, combining talk, music, and news segments. TBS plans to have 2 or 3 artists appear as special guests per episode.

10 of AKB48′s main members will appear each week, with 2 or 3 of them rotating as the show’s MCs alongside Nakai and Esumi.

The show will air on Tuesdays at 21:00, starting in April.

Mayu Watanabe Beats Yamashita Tomohisa in Oricon's Single Ranking

AKB48's Mayu Watanabe, Yamashita Tomohisa, and T-ARA are just some of the idols who released their single last Feb 29th, but Mayu Watanabe's "Synchro Tokimeki" managed to snag the top spot in Oricon's single ranking. "Synchro Tokimeki" debuted with 50145 sales, not far from behind is Yamashita Tomohisa's "Ai, Texas" with 47150 sales. Lastly, T-ARA's "Roly-Poly" earned 14999 sales.

In the new album ranking for Feb29th, J-Rock band Ikimonogakiri's "Newtral" debuted with 58684 sales, followed by Minori Chihara's "D-Formation" with 5809 sales, and The Best of Fullmetal Alchemist got 5770 sales.

AKB48's Sato Sumire and Nito Moeno Joins Peter Pan the Musical

AKB48's Sato Sumire and Nito Moeno were casted to play the role of Wendy for "Peter Pan the Musical". Sato Sumire and Nito Moeno will interchange roles as Wendy. The said musical will run starting July 20th to Aug 1st at Tokyo International Forum. This will be the 1500th time that Peter Pan will be staged as a musical since it started in 1981.

The girls expressed their excitement and nervousness, Nito Moeno even commented that it will be an honor for her to perform on Peter Pan’s anniversary. Moreover, Sato Sumire added, “Though I'm feeling nervous about it now, I'll show you a Wendy who can only be acted out by me.”

The role of Wendy is usually given to experienced actresses; this is only the third time that the role will be played by teenagers, Moeno is 19 while Sato is 18.

AnoHana Anime get Manga Adaptation

Jump Square Magazine announced on its Official Website that it will start publishing the manga version of Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Boku-tachi wa Mada Shiranai. (AnoHana)

The eleven-episode AnoHana anime premiered from April 11 to June 23 of 2011. The series has also sold more than 270,000 copies in DVD and Blu-Ray. Following the widespread popularity of the anime, the manga version of AnoHana will be published in May's issue on April 4.

Artist Mitsu Izumi, who had previously published one-shot stories in Jump Square, will draw the manga.

Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Boku-tachi wa Mada Shiranai (AnoHana) follows the story of a group of childhood friends: Jintan, Menma, Anaku, Yukiatsu, Tsuruko, and Poppo. After the death of Menma, the rest of them started to drift away. However before her death, she asked Jintan to fulfill her wish which she didn't get to say before her death.

Years later, Jintan had shut himself up and completely detached himself from the world, until one summer day, Menma’s ghost appeared next to him, in her teenage appearance. The story continues as Jintan tries to find a way how to fulfill Menma’s sole wish and re-establish his relationship with his friends.

Code Geass: Nunnally in Wonderland Promo Released

The one-minute promotional video for "Code Geass: Nunnally in Wonderland" is released on BIGLOBE's Anime One portal on Thursday.

The one-episode OVA features the protagonist, Lelouch using his ultimate power for his little sister, Nunnally. They then travel into an alternate dimension where the rest of the cast appears as characters from Alice in Wonderland. The original cast will be reprising their roles for the OVA.

The OVA will be available on July 27 with English subtitles along with a 40-page picture book.

Natsuiro Kiseki 2nd Promo Video Released

Natsuiro Kiseki's Official Website had began streaming the anime's second promotional video on Thursday. The two-minute promo video highlights the main cast and theme song performers for the anime.

Voice actress group Sphere, consisting of Minako Kotobuki, Ayahi Takagaki, Haruka Tomatsu, and Aki Toyosaki, will star in the original anime.

Director Seiji Mizushima, who had directed the first Fullmetal Alchemist anime, Gundam 00 and Un-Go, will be involved, along with assistant director Ryuichi Kimura, director for Hanamaru Kindergarten.

Natsuiro Kiseki will premiere in April.

Guitarist TOMO leaves FEST VAINQUEUR

Today guitarist TOMO announced that he will leave FEST VAINQUEUR in May. As for reasons he pointed out that the way he and the other members want to go isn't the same. After many discussions TOMO realized that he can’t find another way to solve this problem than to leave.
He’s thinking about that since their first anniversary live held last October and feels sorry for disappointing the fans but he wants to do his best at the lives to give something back for all the support he received.

After Sincrea’s disbanding in April 2010 all four members came together again to form FEST VAINQUEUR. But now it seems like they will really go separate ways.

Jewelpet Sweets Dance Princess Film's Promo Video Released

The Jewelpet magical girl franchise just released a 34-second promotional video for their first film on Thursday. The film is entitled "Eiga Jewelpet Sweets Dance Princess", scheduled to premier in the Japanese threaters on August 11.

The film is set in Sweetsland, a country next to Jewelland. Ruby and the other Jewelpets are celebrating the birthday of the princess with dancing. However, amidst the party preparations, a mysterious object appears from the skies, containing a Sweetspet boy, whose identity is unknown.

Studio Comet, who has produced the previous three anime series, will also be involved in the film.

The fourth installment of the anime entitled: "Jewelpet Kira☆Deco—!" will premiere on April 7.
