About Kawashima Ai
Ai Kawashima (川嶋 あい) born February 21, 1986 in Sawara-ku, Fukuoka, is a Japanese singer-songwriter and pianist. She had a dream of becoming a singer since an early age. Kawashima's mother was her highly supportive of her dream, though she passed away before she could see Kawashima became a famous singer.
Kawashima was a former singer of the duo I WiSH (with pianist Nao). The group dissolved in 2005 so they could pursue their own solo projects. Her music was used as opening theme to the Japanese release of video game Shining Force Neo, titled "Zetsubou to Kibou"「絶望と希望」, from her sixth maxi single.
