AKB48's Sato Sumire and Nito Moeno Joins Peter Pan the Musical

AKB48's Sato Sumire and Nito Moeno were casted to play the role of Wendy for "Peter Pan the Musical". Sato Sumire and Nito Moeno will interchange roles as Wendy. The said musical will run starting July 20th to Aug 1st at Tokyo International Forum. This will be the 1500th time that Peter Pan will be staged as a musical since it started in 1981.

The girls expressed their excitement and nervousness, Nito Moeno even commented that it will be an honor for her to perform on Peter Pan’s anniversary. Moreover, Sato Sumire added, “Though I'm feeling nervous about it now, I'll show you a Wendy who can only be acted out by me.”

The role of Wendy is usually given to experienced actresses; this is only the third time that the role will be played by teenagers, Moeno is 19 while Sato is 18.

AnoHana Anime get Manga Adaptation

Jump Square Magazine announced on its Official Website that it will start publishing the manga version of Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Boku-tachi wa Mada Shiranai. (AnoHana)

The eleven-episode AnoHana anime premiered from April 11 to June 23 of 2011. The series has also sold more than 270,000 copies in DVD and Blu-Ray. Following the widespread popularity of the anime, the manga version of AnoHana will be published in May's issue on April 4.

Artist Mitsu Izumi, who had previously published one-shot stories in Jump Square, will draw the manga.

Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Boku-tachi wa Mada Shiranai (AnoHana) follows the story of a group of childhood friends: Jintan, Menma, Anaku, Yukiatsu, Tsuruko, and Poppo. After the death of Menma, the rest of them started to drift away. However before her death, she asked Jintan to fulfill her wish which she didn't get to say before her death.

Years later, Jintan had shut himself up and completely detached himself from the world, until one summer day, Menma’s ghost appeared next to him, in her teenage appearance. The story continues as Jintan tries to find a way how to fulfill Menma’s sole wish and re-establish his relationship with his friends.

New Visual Kei Band Blitz Performs in the Spring

A new Visual Kei band, Blitz, has started posting information about themselves on their official website. The band has already planned several concerts for this spring. Also Blitz will be hosting two events in May and June to celebrate their debut.

The five member band features:

Code Geass: Nunnally in Wonderland Promo Released

The one-minute promotional video for "Code Geass: Nunnally in Wonderland" is released on BIGLOBE's Anime One portal on Thursday.

The one-episode OVA features the protagonist, Lelouch using his ultimate power for his little sister, Nunnally. They then travel into an alternate dimension where the rest of the cast appears as characters from Alice in Wonderland. The original cast will be reprising their roles for the OVA.

The OVA will be available on July 27 with English subtitles along with a 40-page picture book.

Natsuiro Kiseki 2nd Promo Video Released

Natsuiro Kiseki's Official Website had began streaming the anime's second promotional video on Thursday. The two-minute promo video highlights the main cast and theme song performers for the anime.

Voice actress group Sphere, consisting of Minako Kotobuki, Ayahi Takagaki, Haruka Tomatsu, and Aki Toyosaki, will star in the original anime.

Director Seiji Mizushima, who had directed the first Fullmetal Alchemist anime, Gundam 00 and Un-Go, will be involved, along with assistant director Ryuichi Kimura, director for Hanamaru Kindergarten.

Natsuiro Kiseki will premiere in April.

Guitarist TOMO leaves FEST VAINQUEUR

Today guitarist TOMO announced that he will leave FEST VAINQUEUR in May. As for reasons he pointed out that the way he and the other members want to go isn't the same. After many discussions TOMO realized that he can’t find another way to solve this problem than to leave.
He’s thinking about that since their first anniversary live held last October and feels sorry for disappointing the fans but he wants to do his best at the lives to give something back for all the support he received.

After Sincrea’s disbanding in April 2010 all four members came together again to form FEST VAINQUEUR. But now it seems like they will really go separate ways.

Jewelpet Sweets Dance Princess Film's Promo Video Released

The Jewelpet magical girl franchise just released a 34-second promotional video for their first film on Thursday. The film is entitled "Eiga Jewelpet Sweets Dance Princess", scheduled to premier in the Japanese threaters on August 11.

The film is set in Sweetsland, a country next to Jewelland. Ruby and the other Jewelpets are celebrating the birthday of the princess with dancing. However, amidst the party preparations, a mysterious object appears from the skies, containing a Sweetspet boy, whose identity is unknown.

Studio Comet, who has produced the previous three anime series, will also be involved in the film.

The fourth installment of the anime entitled: "Jewelpet Kira☆Deco—!" will premiere on April 7.
